Acid Phosphatase Activity in the Vaginal Fluid of Gynecological Patients

Abstract
|
|
|
The measurement of acid phosphatase activity in, the vaginal fluid of adult women obtained by irrigation of the vagina revealed the presence of acid phosphatase from semen and erythrocytes. Accordingly, the cellular, elements except erythrocytes in the vaginal fluid were separated from the extracellular phase before carrying out acid phosphatase assays.
Only the intracellular acid phosphatase activity was significantly elevated in pregnancy and erosio portionis, patients, whereas the extracellular activity in these patientsshowed no significant difference from normal group.
